Now Vietnam is one of the fast growing countries in ASEAN.In accordance with the growing of the country, the good news  about Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, the founder of Vietjet and CEO, has spreaded all over the world. What’s the good news about Nguyen Thi? She could finalized a $6.5 billion agreement on second November to buy 50 Airbus A321neojets.The deal was signed in Hanoi by Nguyen Thi and Christian Scherer,Airbus Chies Commercial Officer.

 Think big and Do big

She thinks big and she does big  in her business life.So she is a female business hero in ASEAN.

She said,” I have always aimed big and done big deals.I have never done anything on a small scale.when people were trading one container of goods,I was already trading hundreds of containers.”

Early life

She was born June 7,1970 in Hanoi,Vietnam. She graduated a doctorate degree in economic management from D.Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, and a bachelor degree in financial credit management and labor economics from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. Nguyen Thị met with early success while studying finance and economics in Mosco, where she began distributing goods from Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea in the then Soviet Union. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao made her first million when she was only 21 trading fax machines and latex rubber.

Business interests

Since then she has developed a portfolio of business interests. Nguyen cofounded and is a major shareholder in Sovico Holding, which owns the commercial HD Bank and international budget airline VietJet Air, both of which she runs. She is Vietnam’s first self-made woman billionaire, after she took her VietJet Air in 2011.She made a big splash early on with ads featuring bikini-clad flight attendants. The airline was fined $1,000 in 2012 for having a bikini fashion show on one of its domestic flights without a permit from authorities. Vietjet hosted it’s on-flight bikini show to welcome the national soccer team back from an overseas game, sparking another round of public outrage.

HD Bank, owns by Sovico, merged with Dai A Bank in 2014 and is now among the biggest joint-stock commercial banks in Vietnam, with total assets of nearly $5 billion, 10,000 employees and 225 branches and offices. Nguyen also owns 5-star hotels and resorts in Vietnam. Her interests extend to property development, with a $1 billion mixed-use project called Dragon City on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh. She took the company public in February 2017.

 Honours of success

Nguyen is one of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs and the only self-made female billionaire in all of Southeast Asia. She debuted on Forbes list of the World’s Billionaires in 2017 shortly after the IPO. Forbes currently estimates her net worth at $2.7 billion. She ranked 55th in the list of Power Women 2017.She is listed in Asia’s 50 Power Businesswomen 2016

3 Lessons she got from Vietjet

We know that entrepreneurs and adventures go together.Similarly, adventures have some lessons to learn and ,opportunities to seize for them .So,there are three lessons she got from Vietjet business.

(1)Dare to Overturn

Entrepreneurs should learn to question what others accept as fact.

(2)Omnipresent Marketing

Entrepreneurs should deploy marketing that fills customers’ lives with their product – even when they are not using it.

(3) Aim for the Grand

When starting a business, entrepreneurs should not be afraid to aim for the grand.

Now Nguyen Thi is only 48. She is still active and full of  brilliant ideas to grow with her country.I believe that her business will be up-and-up together with her Vietjet.
