Vietnam’s Vingroup to launch the first Smart phone ‘Vsmart’ on December 14

Vingroup will launch four models of its first smartphones on Dec 14 under the brand name ‘Vsmart’, it said on Monday, Dec 3.Vingroup is Vietnam’s biggest list firm by market value.The Vsmart phones are made in its factory in Vietnam’s northern city of Haiphong, with a capacity to produce 5 million products a year in the first stage, Vingroup said in a statement.

Vingroup, formerly known as Technocom Corporation, was founded in 1993 in Ukraine by an ambitious group of Vietnamese youth.Technocom began with food production and quickly found great success with the brand ‘Mivina’.In 2000,Technocom-Vingroup returned to Vietnam with a desire to contribute to their motherland’s development.In the early 2000s, Vingroup started in Vietnam with two key brands: Vincom and Vinpearl.
